The Ghost Explorer And The Great Underwater Mountain Range

Tomorrow is the opening night of the Plymouth College of Art Summer Show, so here's one of the pieces I'll be exhibiting. This is part of a quadruple of images that show some of the explorations of the Ghost Explorer, this one being my favourite, the Ghost Explorer and the Great Underwater Mountain Range.

The Ghost Explorer - Page One

This is the first page of my new nautical tail 'The Ghost Explorer' which will be shown in The Plymouth College of Art Summer Show and New Designers 2012. This page is simply entitled 'The Tempest'.

The Isaacs Trio

This illustration was made for a book I made for my dissertation which tells the tale of Edward Magpie and the crew of his ship, The Stultifera Navis. These three animal are the pets of three future seeing giantesses known as the Isaacs Sisters.

See if you can spot the Navis on each animal.

Under Water Fight

This is another illustration from Palincest, this image shows the aphotic zone of the sea and a bit of fishy fisty cuffs is just about to commence between a squid and a sperm whale with an angler fish providing the spot light and a shoal of hatchetfish come to spectate. 

This illustration also has a sister, Laura Jayne Weeks, who I collaborated on the project with, made an illustration which joins on the right hand side which also includes sperm whales and angler fish. 

A Collection of Bugs

Another piece from The Palincest Mine. 

Because the project was about different layers of thing I wanted to do an illustration of a few members of the bug kingdom. 

Also once I'd done the all illustrations I wanted to have little labels under each bug with their latin names on and the wee dust mite ended up having the longest name which was an added humour bonus.
